Life with her uncle is uneventful for bad-tempered Mary Lennox until one day she finds a secret garden. Then Mary meets her cousin Colin, an invalid, who is confined to bed. With Mary and Dickon’s help Colin goes out into the secret garden and discovers the meaning of true friendship and happiness.
